Insurance & Fees
I am in network with many health insurance plans and also offer private-pay services.
Insurance
I am currently in network with many plans associated with:
- Aetna
- Blue Cross and Blue Shield
- Participation varies by individual insurance plan
- Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
- Participation varies by individual insurance plan
- Medicaid (Westmoreland County)
- Optum
- UnitedHealthcare / United Behavioral Health
- UPMC Health Plan
Don't See Your Insurance Listed?
That doesn't necessarily mean I can't accept it. Some insurance plans use another company to manage their behavioral health benefits. This is sometimes called a behavioral health carve-out. Because of this, the company responsible for your mental health coverage may be different from the insurance company listed on your card.
If you're unsure whether I participate with your plan, please contact me.
Understanding Your Insurance Benefits
Being “in network” does not necessarily mean therapy will have no cost to you. Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for a copay, coinsurance, or deductible.
Because every insurance plan is different, I encourage you to verify your individual benefits. Helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:
- Is Jennifer Glunt, LCSW, an in-network provider under my specific plan?
- Are outpatient mental health services covered?
- What is my copay or coinsurance?
- Do I have a deductible for mental health services, and has it been met?
- Is prior authorization required?
Insurance can feel like another language. If you're unsure about your coverage or what questions to ask, please reach out.
Private Pay Fees
You do not have to use your health insurance to receive therapy.
You may choose to pay privately even if I am an in-network provider with your insurance plan.
Initial Assessment — $250
approximately 60 minutes
The initial assessment allows us time to discuss your concerns, relevant history, current needs, and goals for therapy and to begin developing a plan for treatment.
Individual Therapy — $200
per 60-minute session
Individual therapy sessions are scheduled for a full hour.
Caregiver & Parent-Only Sessions/Consultations
Parents and caregivers do not always need to be present with their child in therapy for us to make meaningful progress. Caregiver-only sessions can be used to discuss concerns, better understand behavior and patterns, problem-solve difficult situations, and develop strategies for supporting your child or teen.
In some circumstances, caregiver sessions may be billable to the child's health insurance when they are part of the child's treatment. Coverage varies by insurance plan and the session's purpose.
Letter Writing & Documentation
Letters or other documentation requested outside of routine treatment are not typically billable to health insurance and will require an additional fee. This may include letters for schools, employers, medical providers, accommodations, treatment-related recommendations, or other clinical needs. Fees vary based on the complexity of the request. A fee will be provided before completing the request.
Payment Methods
I accept cash, check, HSA/FSA funds, PayPal, and all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
